a — 13.625 inch by 15.125 inch by 7.0625 inch mahogany—framed glass cabinet with sliding front door, secured by iron screws on mahogany base with one rectangular drawer. Engraved maker's name on bone level marker inside case and number inside.
b — Central brass beam supports "c"
c — Brass balance.
d — Black needle with number on top knob attaches to beam.
e—f — Two brass stirrups are suspended from "J" and "K"
g—h — Two round white metal pans rest on stirrups.
i — Hinged mahogany box with brass fixtures containing seven cylindrical brass weights in grams: .05; .1; .2; .5; 1; 2; and 4. Also containing one pair of tweezers, one roll, two small pieces of sheet lead and two brass nuts and bolts.
j—k — Two weighted hooks on balance arm.
