Champagne Bucket from Princess Sophia

Description:
Silver—plated, slightly tapered, cylindrical bucket. Three ribs encircle it at top, bottom, and middle. Two cylindrical pegs, perpendicular to side and about .625 inches from top, have .25—inch holes. From each hangs 2—inch ring handle. An embossed emblem is situated halfway between handles and about 1.25 inches from top, belted (in shape of a "Q") with inscription embossed on it, encircling checkered flag.

Notes:
Bought at Little Theater auction in 1970. Possibly donated to auction by a diver. From the Princess Sophia, which sank in 1918. Donor polished bucket prior to donation & museum cleaned & polished upon receipt.
