Doll, w/ Hair & w/ 2 Piece Pink Dress

Description:
Small child's doll with artificial brown hair, grey eyes that open and close. Hand painted eyebrows and lashes, red mouth and teeth. Doll wearing cotton dress with pink overall type straps and skirt. Shirt is white with white lace along neck and overall straps. Shoulders of straps are pleated for decoration. Dress has pink short sleeves, arm and two legs are bare. Middle of white shirt has pink thread covered buttons. Under dress is very thin cotton underdress trimmed with lace at bottom. Dress and underdress fastened with two brass eyelet hooks. Body made of composition material that is unknown. It looks like it is either paper mache or some kind of plaster. Stamped on back of doll's head: "Germany/390/A 8/0 M."
Notes:
Doll owned by Cecilia Kunz who played with her as a child. It was loaned to City Museum for "Growing Up Along the Gastineau" Exhibit 1998—2000 and then donated. Museum staff washed doll and clothing prior to exhibit.
