Square tin can with a circular lid on top. Stenciled on each side in black lettering is the writing "BORAX GLASS." There is a yellow paper label on the lid.

Notes:
Borax glass is used in flux during the assaying process. It helps to lower the temperature required to melt certain minerals in a crucible.

The can is still approximately half full of a reagent that is either borax glass or soda ash. The material is not accessioned.
