Title:
Silver—Colored Juneau Fire Department Company Number Two Badge
Description:
Silver—colored metal (possibly nickel plated German silver) badge with hinged pin on jack. Four shamrock—shaped "wings" around central circle. Inside central circle, surrounded by a rope, are ladders, horn, hook, hose nozzle, and another tool, all crossed in middle, with helmet covering crossing. Upper wing has "J.F.D." inscribed on polished strip. Proper left wing shows ladder and hook crossed. Lower wing has "CO. NO. 2" inscribed on polished strip. Proper right wing shows fire hydrant. Backgrounds have hammered surface. Pattern has been impressed from back to front with pattern showing on both sides. Central piece seems to have been attached to larger piece, as back shows no impression. A 0.125 inches hole in back center shows yellow between front and back central piece. Pin attached to upper wing and clasp to lower wing.
