Description:
Orange—brown plastic 14.875 inch long cylindrical crab pot float with yellow and green twisted 0.3125 inch polypropylene rope. Lower 9 inch of float cylindrical, upper 5.75 inch of float tapers to 3 inch diameter 1 inch hole through center of cylinder.
Polypropylene line formed into appoximate loops at either end of float. Rope knotted to ends of float and cannot be pulled out of float.

From collection of beach combed items collected by Thomas S. Parke. Used as pot float. Elongate shape of float allows determination of rope direction to pot when approaching float with boat.
