Description:

Rectangular aluminum sign, painted yellow on the front with the symbols: "3 — 4" in black letters stencilled on top of the yellow paint. A bolt hole is drilled into each of the 4 corners. Reverse is bare metal.
Notes:
Sign came from tower 3—4 on the Snettisham Hydroelectric transmission line. This tower was damaged in the 4/16/2008 avalanche that cut hydro power to Juneau precipitating a local energy crisis. This was the first tower (heading north from Snettisham to Juneau) that was destroyed. Towers 3—4, 3—5 and 4—6 were destroyed. Towers in between sustained damage but were not destroyed.
