Description:
A wood block with a set of weights for a scale that was used in a pharmacy. The wood block is composed of a inner block and several varnished outer pieces. There have been nine holes drilled into the block in which lay seven weights, two of the smallest weights are missing. The weights are made of a copper alloy metal and range in weight from two pounds to 0.5 ounces. There is also a set of even smaller weights that are in the shape of coins. These flat, circular weights range from two drachms to one scruple. These smaller weights all have stamped on both sides their weight and the company, "Ohaus Scale Corp."
