Painting of brown and white pack dog loaded with packs and other objects including binocular case, frying pan, and coffee pot. Dog stands in rocky field with low forest and mountains behind. Sky is blue. Narrow wood frame has shallow cut pattern and green and gold antique finish.
Inscription: "Alaska Huskie / Price $1.00 by F.C. Montgomery Davis / Juneau" and "#3 Eskimo dog" on back in pencil
"Brandy of Nome" in ink and pencil.
"F.C.M. Davis (1919?) in oil paint lower right corner.
Notes:
"Brandy of Nome" was popular book about a husky in the early 1900s.
Frances Caroline Brooks Davis is Trevor Davis's mother.
