Description:
Thick cuff—style carved silver bracelet with noticeable crown, ends rounded but not tapered. Center of bracelet has overlay of formline sun face in gold with garnets inlaid for eyes. Flanked on each side by Raven heads featuring repousse eyes, body / wing / claw forms behind with ovoids, U—form and trigons. Background crosshatched "G. Chilton" & "Raven Sun" deeply engraved inscript inside.

Design conceived in 1985 in response to request. "Story Bracelet". Jack Tripp owns Mt. Juneau Trading Post & Pioneers Jewelry, where we purchased this bracelet. His wife, Arlene Tripp is Gene Chilton's niece. Gene Chilton is Deisheetaan (Beaver) Raven, born in Angoon. Began carving c. 1978, taught by Ed Kaska. See doc file for more information.
