Description:
Half—length portrait of Richard T. Harris with dark background. Fair skin, blue eyes, dark graying hair and moustache. Dressed in dark jacket, vest, white shirt with gold studs, back bow tie, wearing chain apparently coming from vest pocket to second button on vest. Ornate plaster and wood frame, antique gold finish with glass.
Inscription: "Dick Harris" in red oil paint in upper left. "Chr Krogh 1902" in red oil paint signature in lower right.
"Richard T. Harris / October 1833 — October 1907" engraved on brass plaque at center bottom.
Notes:
Used to hang in Assembly Chambers w/84.04.03 in 1950's — 1970's.
Krogh arrived in Juneau on 1885 according to T.Davis's "Looking Back on Juneau".

The guidebook for the 1904 fair lists an oil painting of Dick Harris, by C. Krogh, loaned by the "Women's Auxiliary of Inman."
