Madame Alexander "Alexanderkins" doll. Rotating neck, shoulders and hips. Eyes close with doll in horizontal position. Embossed hair, features, ears, fingers, toes and navel. Painted hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, cheeks, and mouth. Finely embossed black plastic eyelids. Glass realistic blue eyes. Inscription: across shoulder blades "Alex"
Notes:
Doll given to Mary Ann Parke during the mid 1950's by her parents T.S. and V.L. Parke. Doll was named "Tom" after Mary Ann's father. This doll was used with the Ginny Doll, "Vera" that was named after Vera Parke. Alexanderkins is a specific group of dolls made by Madame Alexander dolls. See 2002.11.097
