Miner's candleholder
Description:
Brass and steel mining candle holder.
Object consists of a brass tube at one end. Tube is knurled on the outside. There is a cap on one end that appears to be threaded. On the other end of the brass tube there is attached a four sided steel rod that tapers to a point on its other end. That point has a slight bend in it. At the juncture of the brass tube and steel rod two other elements are attached. One is a circular steel candle holder. The other is an inverted steel hook . There is wax from use, adhered to the bottom of the brass tube.

Removed from exhibit in the mining gallery, October 2007.
