Description:
A — 16 inches by 2.875 inches by 2.75 inches rectangular dark brown wooden "jack" or "foreplane". Curved wooden handle is nailed to wood base —— front and back. A round hole approximately 0.5 inches deep and 0.75 inches wide in the front may have held wooden knob. In center, held loosely in place at downward angle by (c) a rectangular tapered block, is (b) metal cutter. Initial "L.B." carved into front edge.
B — 6.375 inches and 2.25 inches by 0.25 inches adjustable 2—piece metal "cutter" is held together in center by flat screw. Cutting edge tapers downward. Opposite dull end slightly rounded.
C — 4.75 inches by 2.25 inches by 0.75 inches tapered rectangular wooden block has protrusion on either side of curved center to help hold cutter in place.
