Wood engraving block of two mythological monsters facing one another.
Woodblock has a carved image on one side. Image has two creatures. The creature to proper right appears to be a sea creature it has a head like a wolf with a long tongue, two small arms, the body of a sea lion and tail of a whale. The image to proper left is a mythological bird with a down turned beak, two wings stretched out behind and a large tail. the birds chest cavity has been carved out so that it appears that you can look inside the animal.

On the side beneath the creatures is written in black ink "Mythological creatures."
