Description:
Blue and white plate with gilt lettering. Center transfer print design of long white plank building with 2 doorways, lawn in foreground, mountain in left background. 2 students stand by left door. Bottom center inscription: "MAYFLOWER SCHOOL / DOUGLAS / 1934". Artist's signature, "Babs Brantly" in lower right center near foreground bush, Outside border is blue with white leaves to either side. At top "ALASKA" written in gilt. At bottom center, "1995" written in gilt in white banner.
Back: Logo in blue transfer print of wheat or flowers with letters "TM".
Inscription: "Mayflower School built by the Bureau of / Indian Affairs 1933—1934 for the Native / children. Integrated into Douglas School / District 1940 and into Juneau Douglas / School District 1948. It is now used as Montessori School"
