Description:
White cotton dish towel with embroidered design. Commercially made towel with hemmed edges. Embroidery is cross and straight stitch in green, blue, red, black and yellow of a girl holding fork and spoon.
Notes:
Hand work done by Vera L. Parke in the late 1930's, probably around the time of her 1937 arrival in Juneau as a newly—wed. Towel used by Parke family (late 1930's and 1940's). Recovered in the family home from a stack of utility towels.
