Silver—Colored Juneau Fire Department Company Number Three Badge
Description:
Silver—colored metal (possibly nickel plated German silver) badge, with hinged pin on back. Four shamrock—shaped "wings" around central circle. Inside central circle, surrounded by rope are ladders, horn, hook, hose nozzle and another tool, all crossed in middle in helmet covering crossing. Upper wing has "J.F.D." inscribed on polished strip. Proper left wing shows ladder and hook crossed. Lower wing has "CO. NO. 3" inscribed on polished strip. Proper right wing shows fire hydrant. Backgrounds have hammered texture. Pattern is embossed. Center circle seems to have been added to larger piece. Backside is flat and mat. Pin is attached across length of back, with "PAT 2383012" engraved on it.
