Inside central circle, surrounded by rope are ladders, horn, hook, hose nozzle, and another tool, all crossed in middle, with helmet covering crossing. Upper wing has "J.F.D." inscribed on polished strip. Proper left wing shows ladder and hook crossed. Lower wing has "CO. NO. 1" inscribed on polished strip. Proper right wing shows fire hydrant. Backgrounds have hammered texture. Pattern has been impressed from back to front, showing both sides.
