Description:
Gold—colored shield—shaped badge, with a round central piece, hunched eagle with spread wings and tail feathers above with a curved pointed extension below. Center circle has three embossed crossed horns, surrounded by a rope. Around this is polished circle, "ASSISTANT CHIEF" inscribed in blue on upper half, "JUNEAU FIRE DEPT" on lower half and cross on each side between inscriptions. A polished edge surrounds shield. Inside extension is polished strip with "A.A.A." inscribed in blue. Small curling ornaments on both sides of extension.
Back is flat, central piece slightly convex. "Goldfilled 1/15—10K" inscribed in lower part of central piece. Hinged pin attached to edge, clasp to extension.
