Gold Colored Juneau Fire Department Assistant Chief Badge

Description:
Gold—colored iron shield—shaped badge with a round central piece, a hunched eagle with spread wings above, and a curved, pointed extension below. Center circle has three embossed crossed horns, surrounded by rope. Around this is polished circle, "ASST CHIEF" inscribed in black on upper half, "JUNEAU, AAA" on lower half. Polished edge surrounds the shield. Inside extension is polished strip. Small curling ornaments on both sides of extension.
Back: Hinged pin attached to upper part of shield, below eagle, the clasp to extension. Pattern has been empressed from back to front, showing on both sides. Center circle seems to have been added to larger piece, backside showing no impression.
