Swivel scriber.
Swivel scriber with magnifying glass. Frame of the object is made of two pieces of metal meeting in the perpendicular. The base lies perpendicular to the table surface with two steel feel in the back corners. The second piece of metal is upright , roughly in the shape of a rectangle, at front is a collar through which a swivel is inserted. At the top of the swivel there is a magnifying glass with a black plastic frame attached and secured in place with a knurled nut. At the bottom of the swivel there is a foot to which a tip is attached. A manufacturer's decal is attached to the bottom. The decal is red with silver letters: "K+E" On bottom is painted with black paint, the number "20".
Notes:
Used in making maps; with this tool a relatively inexperienced person can make accurate , sharp and consistent lines on a map or drawing. Used in conjunction with a scribing film that consists of a clear base of dimensionally stable polyester, covered by a a scribable coating. When the tip is run over the film, it leaves a line on the map/drawing beneath.
