Description:
Balanced—weave tapestry with houses and trees indicated by overstitching and overlay; border of fiber—wrapped ropes. Scene is several white and gray houses under deep green forested foothills and grey mountain with white snow caps. Overlay design is representation of the Juneau—Douglas Bridge. Sky is blue and overlay is light grey and light gray—blue. Fringe of wooden beads and string tassels across bottom is enclosed in overlay. Piece is backed with blue cotton fabric wire—stitched to .25—inch by 3—inch board across top of tapestry.
