Blue and white plate with gilt lettering. Center transfer print design of Coast Guard ship "Storis". Ship in center with sky above and ocean below. Ship markings left to right: "Storis" "38" "COAST GUARD" "38". Artist's name, Babs Brantly under ship at right. Bottom of drawing states "JUNEAU / 1991". Outside border is blue with white leaves to either side. At top, "ALASKA" written in gilt. At bottom center "1790 U.S. COAST GUARD 1990" written in gilt in white banner.
Back: Logo in blue transfer print of wheat or flowers w/ letters "TM". Inscription: "This plate is dedicated to the / Bicentennial of the U.S. Coast Guard. / The Storis was a familiar sight in Juneau". "Royal Blue Chateau / Made by Tidemark Co., / Winter Park, Florida / Plate No. 43". "43 handpainted in gilt.

Collected and preserved by donor's wife, Helen Fossum.
The Storis was stationed in Juneau until it was transferred to Kodiak in the mid to late '50s.
