Description:
A — 6.125 inches by 7.5 inches brass teapot, cylindrical, flanged, and slightly domed at top and bottom. Brass handle with black wooden handhold is attached to brass tabs and is moveable. Spout is 2 inches by 5 inches.
B — 3 inches by 2.75 inches lid is bell—shaped and flanged with .75—inch wooden, ribbed black knob at top, connected by rusty washer, screw, and nut.
C — Three—part stand is 6.375 inches by .375 inch by 3.625 inches. First part is 6.375 inches by 6.375 inches by 1.375 inches volcano—shaped base with two .125—inch holes in center for burner. Second part has 4 inches by .375 inch three—flared brass strips, equally spaced on base, that attached base to teapot ring. Third part is 1.125 inches thick, 5.375 inches—diameter blackened brass ring that holds teapot 1inch above burner.
D — 2.75 inches by 2.75 inches by 1.75 inches alcohol burner is cylindrical and flanged with 1—inch hole in lid and part of hinge to side that is probably part of cover. Top is removable. Inside contains metal mesh.
E — 4 inches by .5 inch lid lifter is thin notched 1.4375—inch brass rod attached to black flared wooden handle with knob at end. Notch possibly used to flip hinged lid to put flame out.
F — 1.125 inches round metal rusted lid for burner w/ words "PRESS AND TURN TO OPEN" embossed on it. Probably not original burner lid.
Notes:
Teapot was used to heat donor's baby bottle. She was raised on Eagle Brand condensed milk. Burner (D) survived Treadwell cave—in wrapped in blankets.
