Object Name:
Shade, Lamp
Title:
Light Globe/Shade
Description:
Large white glass light shade. Opaque white glass is matte on the exterior, shiny on the inside. Complex mold—made shape with a wide curvilinear scroll foliate band around widest central part, rope—like bands above and below, and on the closed end a flower—like starburst with twelve petals.
Notes:
Bought by Jim Geraghty from Ebay on behalf of the museum from "akcache" who sent paypal money to "Patrick Dragt" but note to Jim says "Thanks Jim, Carrie & Tom." Bought because Jim said he was confident this seller knew that it was actually from Juneau. Curator Ellen Carrlee has not seen this particular item as a street lampshade in a photo of Juneau, but it may also be an interior item.
