Description:
Wood Engraving Block
One—sided block. The engraved scene has a boy and porcupine approaching a giant. The appear to be on a hill with several hills in the distance. Clouds are visible in the distant horizon. The giant appears to be pointing at the porcupine and his mouth is open as if he is in mid—speech. Trees dot the hilly scene. The scene is stained a dark brown on a lighter wood base.

The other side of the block does have a faded image and some engravings. It appears to be the same scene in reverse, but not completed. The giant and hills were drawn in ink. Only the boy and porcupine are engraved into the wood. On the bottom edge, an attached label is printed with 'Giant and a Porcupine." On the right side edge is a round label which has 250 written on ink.
