Painting, oil on canvas mounted on a wooden board.
At center of image in a floating logging camp above the camp is the head of a buck deer with its mouth open. Deer's antlers are in velvet/ to the proper right of the deer's head is the branch of a cedar tree and below it another branch maybe willow or alder. To the proper left of the deer head are two softwood branches. Beneath the logging camp, under the water is an image of coral growing from rocks. Background of the image is light blue.

The title of the piece is "Memento Mori" as was confirmed by the artist during a phone call on October 17th, 2011.
