Description:
A — Folding waxed cardboard mallard hen decoy. Black and brown ink markings give bird identification.
B — Wood float fits into base of open (unfolded) decoy. Counter weight attached to wire on float. Anchor string and lead weight fastened to other end of float. Upper edge of decoy fastened with iron staples.
Inscription on base of decoy copied into doc file.
"JOHNSON'S FOLDING PAPER DECOY / MANUFACTURED BY WM R. JOHNSON, 72 COLUMBIA ST., SEATTLE, WASH. / PATENTED IN UNITED STATES AND CANADA / PRICE 55 CENTS EACH; BODIES WITHOUT FLOATS, 35 CENTS". Includes assembly drawings.
