Description:
A — Folding cardboard decoy mallard drake. Cardboard is waxed. Green, yellow, blue and black marking ink on both sides give bird identification.
B — Wood float fits into base of open (unfolded) decoy. Float is 10 inches by 4.75 inches by 0.25 inch waxed cedar board. Wire counter weight attached to float. String with lead weight attached to opposite end of float. Instructions for use of decoy printed on base. Upper edge of decoy fastened with steel staples.
Inscription: See doc. file for description & printed directions on base of decoy. Includes instructions drawings. Titles are: "JOHNSON'S FOLDING PAPER DECOY / MANUFACTURED BY WM. R. JOHNSON, 72 COLUMBIA ST., SEATTLE, WASH. / PATENTED IN UNITED STATES AND CANADA / PRICE 55 CENTS EACH; BODIES WITHOUT FLOATS, 35 CENTS."
