Photograph of a woman in a long coat standing on a snowy street.

Black and white photograph shows a woman in a long dark coat, boots and a stocking cap standing on a road. She has her right arm pulled up to her shoulder as if keeping her coat closed. She is standing in front of a snowy hillside. Behind her and up the hill is a fence and the dormer of a house visible. There is also a telephone pole visible behind the branches of a tree. In the background are mountains in the deep snow of winter.

On the reverse is written in blue ink: "Basin Road/19/Juneau Winter/3—30—33/ EMALINE KUPOFF"
Notes:
The woman in the photograph is Emaline Kupoff. She was married to a miner and lived in Juneau for a short time. While she was here she gave birth to a daughter, Carlotta Kupoff, now Carlotta Francisco
