Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Chatham Straits July 3, 54" in handwriting. The image shows an expanse of ocean water, presumably the Chatham Strait, with the water disturbed by the wake of a boat. In the background there is a far shore, with a green mountain slope ascending out of view, probably the Marble Bluffs. On the water in front of the shore there are two vessels traveling along the water. The sky is a leaden gray. The number "7" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
