Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Boat Races + Aqua Planing[?] 7—4—51" in handwriting. The image shows a body of water, probably the Gastineau Channel, with shorelines at the left and right, the left jutting out to the center of the image. Snowcapped peaks are visible in the distance, at the far end of the channel. On the water, two vessels are traveling toward the right, one seemingly a jet ski (perhaps what the photographer meant by aqua planing). The number "6" is imprinted on the frame at the upper left.
