Description:
Black and white photographic print of a group of thirteen(13) men standing on the deck of a boat and one man standing on the wooden pier behind the ship. All fourteen (14) men are in military uniform. The man to the far proper right standing on the ship's deck is dressed in cook whites. There is a rope coiled on the deck in the foreground. The image has a white boarder around all four sides. On the back along the upper edge, there is handwritten text in black ink which reads: "MIKE HATTON & CREW P—512". The "P—512" is underlined three times in a "Z" like pattern. A purple ink stamp on the back of the photograph reads: "OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPH \ Base Photographic Laboratory \ APO 980, U. S. Army\ File No. ______ \ If this photograph is released for \ publication by proper authority \ as follows: \ GRAPH \ FORCES".The stamp is imprinted upside down. Back has two sections of black paper and tape where the photograph was once attached to an album page. One below the stamp along the bottom edge at approximately center and one at approximately center which obscures part of the purple stamp.
