Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "From Hermle's 4/6/64 Federal Bldg" in handwriting. The image shows a view of downtown Juneau from across the Gastineau Channel on Douglas Island. There are large desiduous trees on either side in the foreground, with the red roof of a small structure near the bottom of the image. Power lines cut through the top of the image on the near shore. Across the water, Mount Roberts, under heavy snowcap, dominates the view and looms over downtown Juneau, with the red frame of the half constructed Federal Building at center—right. The number "10" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
