Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "Sturges[sic] Narrows 7/24/64" in handwriting. The image shows a thick rocky shore above a body of water, presumably the Sergius Narrows (between Chichagof Island and Baranof Island). The water occupies a small portion of the foreground leading to the shore. At center on the rocks is a short white structure with a latticed base and dark roof. It is encircled by what may be a walkway with a railing. Beyond the structure on the rocks, there is a thick treeline along the shore. The number "7" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
