A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "Sturges[sic] Narrows 7/24/64" in handwriting. The image shows a calm body of gray water, presumably the Sergius Narrows (between Chichagof Island and Baranof Island). The water occupies a portion of the forground from center toward the right, leading to a far shore in the background with leftward sloping mountains, enshrouded in fog. At left in the foreground, there is a bulging near shorethick with trees, jutting from left. The railing of a boat is visible at right in the foreground. The number "4" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
