Black and white photograph of a man walking on a steep, snow covered mountain side. He is facing the photographer and is holding a pole or other tool in his hands which is sticking into the side of the mountain. Sky in background. Verso has a stamped "68" in the upper proper right corner in blue ink. The man is Robert Ellis.
Notes:
Located in photo album (2013.08.011A). Attached to album page by corner tabs. White text on album page above photograph reads: "Ellis". Additional white text on page identifies the photograph as "Snow Scenes on a trip up Mt. Roberts in May \ 1929".

The album belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
