Sepia photo of Franklin Hotel with men outside.
White sided building with sign "FRANKLIN HOTEL" on wooden boardwalk ( original waterfront). Building appears to be 1 1/2 stories with top only covering part of buildling. Steps lead down from boardwalk with a pile of firewood next to the steps. An ax is attached to the right of the front door on the building. A group of 15 men, some standing some sitting, are outside the hotel. they all appear to be posing. Mountain is visible on the right side of the photo.
Photo is mounted on a heavier cardstock that appears to be cut out of a larger piece. Written in blue pen at top on back is "Juneau"

Photograph was framed in June 2014 with 99UV Glass. Frame is dark (black) wood with a dark gray mat.
Notes:
Franklin Hotel was Juneau's first hotel. It was on the waterfront, which later became Front Street, between Seward and Main St.
