Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "Ferry at Terminal 9/66" in handwriting. The image shows an aerial view (probably captured from an aircraft) of a section of coast, probably at Auke Bay. The shore is long and hilly, with the slopes thick with trees. There is a bulging section of coastline at the center, surrounded by a strip of beach. At right, near the edge of the image, a white vessel sits stationary near the shore, probably the eponymous ferry. At extreme left, there is another section of U—shaped shoreline for an unseen piece of land. The number "17" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
