Description:
Black and white photograph of two men standing on a wooden hanger dock near the tail of float plane (sea plane). Both men are young, possibly in their 20's or 30's. Both men are wearing pants, flight boots, collared shirts, ties and a sweaters. One man has his arms crossed in front of his torso. The other has his left hand in his pocket and a cigarette in his right. Text on the side of the aircraft identifies the plane as a part of the Pacific International Airways of Alaska's fleet. Barrels, tools, and a wheel in background to the proper right of the image.
Verso has a stamped number "25" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink.
Photographs is captioned as "Friendly Competitors" as the two men were crew members of Alaska—Washington Airways. Photograph is taken in Juneau.
