Description:
Black and white photographic print. Portrait of man sitting with body facing the proper left and face turned looking out at viewer. Man's right arm is resting on a table and his left hand is placed on top of his right hand. Man is wearing a dark suit and stripped tie. Print is surrounded by a white matte and is framed in a black and gold painted wood frame. The man is identified as "Dr. James C. Ryan" by a label attached to the matte and located below the print centered horizontally. Text is printed in black and is in a script typeface. Verso is covered with a tan dust cover. In the upper proper left corner of verso is a red sticker which reads: "Winter & Pond Co., Inc. \ Founded 1886 \ Everything in Photography \ and Artists' Materials \ JUNEAU, ALASKA". Under sticker, handwritten in pencil is the name "Ryan".
