Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane) traveling on the water. Buildings on the side of a tree covered mountain and docks seen in background. The waterway is the Gastineau Channel. City is Juneau. The AJ Mine on the side of Mount Roberts its visible. Douglas Island is partially seen on the proper left side of the image. The photograph is of Wolfgang Von Gronau's around the world plane in Juneau.
Verso has a stamped number "31" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink. Handwritten in pencil is the text "gordon \ John \ Cot —2".
