Description:
Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane) traveling on the water. Text on the side of the plane identifies it as a part of the Alaska—Southern Airways fleet. Buildings on the side of a tree covered mountain and docks seen in background. The waterway is the Gastineau Channel. City is Juneau. The AJ Mine on the side of Mount Robers its visible. One building on the coast has a sign which reads: "PACIFIC STEAMSHIP COMPANY". The float plane is most likely the Chichagof.
Verso has a stamped number "31" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink. Handwritten in pencil is the text "Cot —2".

The album belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
