Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "'Kate's[sic] Needle' as seen from Stickine[sic] River 7—4—69" in handwriting. The image shows a narrow section of gray river water, stopping at the middling are where the far shore meets the water's edge. A thick line of tall desiduous trees extends along the shore, partially obscuring the mountains beyond. A series of peaks lie in the background, separated by a small valley in the center. Beyond the valley in the distant background, there is another slightly taller snowcapped peak enshrouded by fog. It is unclear which mountain is Kates Needle. The text "JUL69" is etched into the frame at the upper edge, possibly signifying the date of development.
