Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "Spot we spent Sun nite — 7—6—69 — Stickine[sic] River" in handwriting. The image shows a narrow curve gray river water, rounding a wide beach of dirt or dark sand at right. The beach is dotted with small patches of shrubbery here and there. Beyond the river's continuance in the background, a wall of mountains looms, with a dip in the center and steep slopes climbing toward either edge of the frame. The sky is a heavy leaden gray. The text "JUL69" is etched into the frame at the upper edge, possibly signifying the date of development.
