Description:
Postcard. The front has color illustration of a passenger steamship cruiser. Ship is black and white. There is black smoke billowing from the single stack. Life boats, cabins and people are seen on deck. Mountains and sky are seen the in the background. Blue—green water in the foreground. Along the upper edge at approximately center is typed red text reading: "Steamer Humboldt," "Juneau, Alaska." In the lower proper left corner is black typed text reading: "102 \ CASE & DRAPER"

The back is divided into two section by a horizontal brown line at center. On the proper left side along the upper edge is brown typed text reading: "THIS SPACE FOR CORRESPONDENCE". Also on the proper left side but along the lower edge is brown typed text reading: "PUBLISHED BY EDW. H. MITCHELL. SAN FRANCISCO \ FOR J. B. CARO & CO., INC. JUNEAU, ALASKA". On the proper right side at the top is brown typed text reading: "Post \ Card \ THIS SPACE FOR ADDRESS ONLY". In the upper proper right corner is a brown square indicatingthe location for the postage stamp to be placed. Brown text within this square reads: "POSTAGE: \ UNITED \ STATES \ AND \ POSSESSIONS \ CANADA \ MEXICO \ FOREIGN". Next to the lines "UNITED \ STATES \ AND \ POSSESSIONS \ CANADA \ MEXICO" is the number 1 and the cents sign for U.S. currency. Next to the word "FOREIGN" is the number 2 and the cents sign for U.S. currency.
