Postcard. The front has black and white photograph of a passenger steamship cruiser in front of a glacier. There is black smoke billowing from the single stack. The glacier and sky is seen in the background. Water and iceberg are seen in the foreground and middle ground. In the lower proper left corner is white text reading: "ALASKA EXCURSION STEAMER AT TAKU GLACIER \ On Line Pacific Coast S. S. Co."
The back is divided into two section by a horizontal black line at center. Above this line is the Pacific Coast Steamship Co. logo printed in black and white, which includes a flag and their name within a circle and in front of a scroll. There is a small oval image of a steamship on either side of the scroll. Below the image on the proper left is the word "POST" and below the image on the proper right is the word: "CARD"; both in black typed text.
On the proper left side of the center dividing line and below the word "POST" is black typed text reading: "THIS SPACE FOR CORRESPONDENCE". On the proper right side of the center dividing line and below the word "CARD: is black typed text reading: "THIS SPACE FOR ADDRESS ONLY". In the upper proper right corner is a black square indicating the location for the postage stamp to be placed. Black text within this square reads: "POSTAGE: \ UNITED \ STATES \ AND \ POSSESSIONS \ CANADA \ MEXICO \ FOREIGN". Next to the lines "UNITED \ STATES \ AND \ POSSESSIONS \ CANADA \ MEXICO" is the number 1 and the cents sign for U.S. currency. Next to the word "FOREIGN" is the number 2 and the cents sign for U.S. currency.
