Postcard. The front has a black and white photograph of a sinking passenger steamship cruiser and two lifeboats. Men are seen both in the lifeboats as well as on the deck of the sinking ship. In Trees are seen in the background to the proper right. Water in the foreground. In the lower proper right corner is white text which reads: "Morning after "Spokane" Wreck". White text in the lower proper left corner reads: "WINTER & POND CO."

The back has typed black text along the top edge at approximately center which reads: "POST CARD \ CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS". There is also a dashed—line box to the proper right of this text surrounding the text: "PLACE STAMP HERE". At the top of this box are the stylized letters: "EKC". Hand written in blue ink along the upper edge is text reading: "Morning after S/S SPOKANE".
