Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "Twin Glacier from Lake — 8—27—66" in handwriting. The image shows a wide expanse of blue water stretching across the foreground, leading to a far shore. At center right on the far shore, a blue—white glacier cuts a deep gash in a group of mountains also lying on the far shore. The glacier twists and turns far into the background, visible between the peaks on either side. At left of the glacier, two peaks are visible, partly enshrouded by fog. At right, only a small portion of slope is visible on the other mountain. The sky is a heavy leaden gray. At right, an indiscernable detail can be seen, perhaps part of the boat from which the image was captured. The number "18" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
